The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation has an interesting new report comparing broadband Internet availability in OECD countries. I've pasted in a table from the report, below, showing where Canada ranks. Overall, we come in at #11, which is pretty good when you consider the size of this nation: Somehow, our cable and DSL companies have managed to wire most households in this enormous country in only about a decade. (It's interesting to note that every single nation that ranks above us in household penetration is — compared to Canada — a tiny, high-tech postage stamp of a country such as Netherlands or Japan.)
