By Getzalette Reyes for La Prensa - The director of Panama's Civil Aeronautical Authority, Eustacio Fábrega, revealed that human error by the pilot of the helicopter was the principal cause of the accident that occurred last 29 May in Calidonia. In press conference, Fábrega presented a preliminary report on the accident in which six Chilean and five Panamanians died. Fábrega said the pilot erred in handling the in-flight emergency aboard helicopter SAN-100, which presented failures in one of its engines.
