For decades, one of Atlanta's most famous residents lived in a cage and mostly ate bananas. Now Willie B., a beloved gorilla who died eight years ago, has become the posthumous star of a TV documentary.

Produced by former Atlanta Mayor and civil rights icon Andrew Young, "The Greatest Ape" will premier this week. The one-hour documentary-style film focuses on the gorilla's life at Zoo Atlanta from 1961 until his death in 2000.
