The only thing men should fear more than a girlfriend in tears is the wrath of said girlfriend if he blows off those tears as hormonal. Sure, that time of the month can make her more likely to break out the waterworks, but don't assume the tears aren't for something completely valid -- like your screwups. At worst, a manipulative woman might be playing off of your skittishness and faking an emotional attack, but most likely it's worth tuning in to her tears and getting to the heart of the matter.
