Obama creates economic advisory board

President-elect Barack Obama is due to open his third news conference in as many days at 10:45 a.m. ET. The Obama-Biden transition team just confirmed, in statement sent to reporters, that Obama will use the Chicago briefing to announce he's creating an Economic Recovery Advisory Board, which will be headed by former Federal Reserve chairman Paul Volcker. Also to be on the board as its staff director: Obama economic adviser Austan Goolsbee.
