Aluminum maker Alcoa Inc. has been awarded a $360 million contract by Lockheed Martin Corp. to produce alloy aluminum die forgings for the new F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter jets that will replace aging military planes. Lockheed Martin expects to build more than 4,000 of the aircraft for the United States and international forces.
