This first step will enable you to lay the foundations of your future spot. This first step will give your spot an identity:
Useful information about the name
Your spot name will be used again in the internet address.
Useful information about the category
By naming the topics mentioned in your spot, you will enable search engines to find it easily.
Useful information about the tags
The tags should be written in lowercase letters and separated by a semicolon.
Useful information about the sharing level
By default, your spot is open to everybody
This second step will enable you to customize your spot by giving it a specific style. This step is important, because it will make your spot into a unique space, where people will enjoy spending their time.
Useful information about the spot image
The best shape is square. If your image has a different form, we will reproportion it using the characteristics you gave us in your style guide.
The best size is less than 2 Mb. If your file is any bigger we can't use it.
The best formats are: .gif, .jpg, .png
This step enables you to put together a group of readers that will be invited to the launch of your spot. They will also be contacted every time you "spot" a new story or you make a new comment.
Useful information about sharing
From the moment your spot is online and open to at least one person, you can designate contributors that you can authorize "to spot" stories on your spot. You do this on your spot, in the right-hand "followers" column, by clicking on "edit".
Jamespot is totally free. Before putting your first spot online, we will ask you to create an account.
You should give us your email address. Please remember that this will be the address for all our communication with you and we will use it to tell you about who is reading your spot and who is making comments on your spot. This email address is also your ID on Jamespot and you will be able to use it to access your account.
The "nickname" will identify you on your spot and will be visible to your readers.
