Four new vegetarian restaurants have recently opened in Toronto, two have extended their hours, and three are closing or are in transition. The Annex HodgePodge (258 Dupont St., e. of Spadina, 416-513-1333) is a brand new all-vegetarian, mostly-vegan cafe. They serve shepherd's pie, squash and spinach pie, veggie burgers, tofu n' brown rice, vegan rotis or wraps, house salad, fresh squeezed juice, smoothies and organic desserts.
