Song For My Father

One of the greatest jazz albums of all time, "Song For My Father" by pianist Horace Silver. Released in 1964 on Blue Note records, the enduring appeal of this album is still amazing. The title track's influence can be heard in Steely Dan's hit "Rikki Don't Lose That Number". Not so much a rip off as it was a homage to one of the greatest jazz men of all time.
