Put it on the list of things that are never going to happen. According to a spokesperson from Paramount (the studio behind 1986's Top Gun), there is "no way" Tom Cruise will be reprising his role as hotshot pilot Maverick. Rumors were circulating that a sequel would star Tom as a flight instructor at the Top Gun school. A rep for the actor also dismissed any notion that Tom would ever fill Maverick's shoes again.
